Freeze Protection Valves are designed to be installed onto your existing solar hot water system providing you with an afordable non-electric thermally controlled freeze protection system. These valves contain precise thermal actuators that open the valves when the temperature approaches freezing and closes them upon warm up. This continuous process of modulation; cold water being discharged and replaced with warmer water prevents panels and piping from freezing. Vernatherm offers two types of valves;
Standard Freeze Protection

Use our standard freeze protection valves If you simply want to regulate the internal temperature of your exposed system components to prevent freezing.
Freeze Protection & Pressure Protection
(Thermal Relief & Pressure Relief - Functioning Separately)
If you need freeze protection, but also need to regulate your internal pressure, use our hybrid solar freeze protection valve which regulates pressure and temperature. Both functions operate independently to ensure proper protection; thermal relief & pressure relief.
